One weekend while working on a leather sheath project, TOPS General Manager Craig Powell came up with the idea to make a kiridashi style knife, with a sort of chisel ground blade, that he could use specifically for cutting leather and other things around the house. The design was later refined to include a finger ring for added control. With a narrow tip and straight edge making many useful cuts easy, the blade can handle a wide range of everyday cutting tasks. The handle has the perfect radius which makes the knife comfortable to hold for extended use. The beta loop on the Kydex sheath is easy to remove and reposition so that the knife can be carried horizontally or vertically on a belt, or strapped to a pack. Whether you use it around the house, in the shop, or at camp, the Poker is up to the task.
